KINGS MOUNTAIN: Bishop Brady E. Jackson Sr., 67, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023. Bishop Jackson was a native of Cleveland County. He was born July 27, 1955. He was the son of the late Broadus Jackson, Sr. and Callie Elizabeth Martin Jackson. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, his brother Bobby Eugene Jackson, mother-in-law Louise Dover, sister-in law Katheryn Jackson, and brother-in-law Ronald Dover.
Bishop Jackson is survived by his wife of 51 years, Pastor Teresa Dover Jackson, daughter Charity Nicole Jackson Nolen and husband Alex, son Brady Lee Jackson, Jr. and wife Teresa Lynn, brother Broadus Jackson, Jr. and wife Judy, sister-in-law Kimberly Smith and husband Jamey, Sr.
Bishop Jackson was like a modern-day Abraham because his descendants, natural and spiritual are as numerous as the sands on the seashore or the stars in the midnight sky. His biological grandchildren are Maddy Grace and Dessa Kate Nolen, Joshua Caleb and Elijah Patrick Jackson, also included are Samantha Brooke Main and husband Jeffery, Brody Owenby, Kayla Sanford, and their children.
Honorable mention to his nephews and nieces: Timothy and Hope Jackson, Travis, Tyler, David, Melissa, Kaylee, Anthony, Jamey Jr., Matthew, also Brandy, Jennifer, Holly, Kathy, Crystal, and their spouses and children, and Laura Sutton and husband Shannon. Bishop Jackson had a huge extended family of those who attended Royal Praise Ministries, Royal Priesthood Motorcycle Ministry, and Royal Priesthood Biker Church and the leadership team of Nolens, Kales, Burnetts, Norrises, Guin and Hesters.
Bishop Jackson travelled extensively sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He had the opportunity to minister in countries such as Haiti, Nigeria, Ghana, India, Russia, and all throughout the Caribbean Islands. Bishop Jackson founded Royal Praise Ministries in 1982 and “Just Men” Fellowship in 2002. Under the flagship of Royal Praise Ministries, other ministries have been establish including Royal Priesthood Motorcycle Ministry and Royal Priesthood Biker Church and Coalition of Christian Bikers with Pastors Junior and Tracey Norris at the helm.
When asked how he was, “Blessed and highly favored” was one of Bishop Jackson’s favorite sayings. And truly, this mighty man of God was not only Blessed, but was also a Blessing. There are not enough words to say how much he will be missed. He has now made Heaven his home to see Jesus face to face.
The family will receive friends 12:30pm-2:00pm, Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Royal Praise Ministries. Funeral services will follow in the church at 2:00pm, with Dr. Paul Brintley officiating. Memorials may be made to the church in his memory.
