Carolyn S. Pennington

SHELBY- Mrs. Carolyn Hunsinger Pennington, 76, of 1404 N. Lafayette St., formerly of Charleston, SC, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. She was a native of Spartanburg, SC, and daughter to the late Jesse Wilbert and Lettie Burnett Hunsinger. She was a retired secretary for the Navy Exchange at Charleston Navel Base, SC, and was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Pennington and a brother, Norman Cecil Hunsinger.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by two brothers, Cleatus Hunsinger and wife, Ina of Shelby, and Dr. Drew Charles Hunsinger and wife, Jean, of Indian Beach, NC; a sister-in-law, Wilma Vinesette; nephews, Dr. Paul Pennington, John Hunsinger, and Jeff Hunsinger, and many other nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Thursday, March 8, 2007 from 1-2 pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Cleatus and Ina Hunsinger, 1219 Brookwood Drive, Shelby.

FUNERAL: The funeral will be held Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.

BURIAL: Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
