Cheri Evans

SHELBY: Cheri Patterson Evan, 64, died Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Atrium Health Cleveland. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of Jeanette Duncan Patterson of Shelby and the late Jack Patterson. Cheri was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church. She worked in mental health and was a founding partner in Foothills Consulting. She enjoyed shopping with her mother. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Rick Evans; son, Michael Evans, both of Shelby; and brother, Michael Patterson and wife Katheryn of Atlanta. Funeral services will be held 5:30 P.M. Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Tim Sims officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, in the church. Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 8, 2024 in Sunset Cemetery.
