Dennis Elliott

SHELBY – Mr. Dennis Wade Elliott, 60, went to be with his Lord, Sun., June 30, 2013 at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he is the son of Pantha Sansing Brown of Shelby and the late Wade Yancey Elliott. Dennis served in the Air Force during Vietnam, was formerly employed with UPS Freight, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He loved to ride his Harley, enjoyed photography and playing golf, and had a love for his granddaughters.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Jerry Revels Elliott, of the home; two daughters, Melissa Herms and husband Todd of Maiden, and Megan Elliott of Charlotte; sister, Gilda Martin and husband Steve of Shelby; two granddaughters, Madison and Mia Herms.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Tuesday, 7PM, at Bethel Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Tuesday, 5:30-7PM, at the church, and other times at his home.

CLERGY: Dr. Tim Sims

BURIAL: Wednesday, 10AM, Cleveland Memorial Park, with military honors
