SHELBY: Jeanette Camp Estep, 86, died Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Hospice at Wendover. Born in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late George Marion Camp and Bertha Jane Mathis Camp. She graduated from Shelby Hospital School of Nursing and worked at the Shelby Hospital, as a R.N., for nearly 10 years. She later worked for the Shelby City School System as a teacher assistant. She was a faithful member of Zoar Baptist Church, where she served in various different capacities. She enjoyed tending to her flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving and faithful husband of 56 years, Joe Dean Estep; and sister, Gloria Camp. She is survived by her loving daughters, Elaine Estep and Kim Pearson, both of Shelby. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 24, 2023 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Jon Jones and David Costner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County or Zoar Baptist Church. Funeral services are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and Aquamation Center
