MOORESBORO – Mr. John Robert McBrayer, 76, of 4 Yates-McBrayer Dr., died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Edwin Yates and Helen Blanton McBrayer. He was a loving and vibrant, generous father, grandfather, and friend to many, known for enjoying motorcycle riding and trips to the beach. His professional life included Hotpoint, Bristol Metals, Southern Pump and Tank, and McBrayer Mobile Home Park. He lived an enjoyable and full life in Fl., MS., AL., LA., and NC.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sybil Scruggs McBrayer.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his daughter, Maurica McBrayer Buckner and husband Jim of Greenville, SC; brother, David Yates McBrayer and wife Carolyn of Kernersville; two grandchildren, Veronica Chelsye Godsey and husband Joshua of Greer, SC, and Jessica Buckner Wilson of Greenville, SC; great-grandson, Adam James Turner of Greenville, SC; girlfriend of seven years, Teresa Smith; and his faithful companion, Harley.
SERVICES: Sunday, 4pm, at Sandy Run Baptist Church
VISITATION: The family will receive friends two hour prior to the service, at the church, and other times at his home.
