Lillian Smith

SHELBY- Lillian Davis Smith, 83, died Thursday, July 7, 2016, at her home. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Dean and Cora Lee Ervin Davis. She retired from Mauney Hosiery of Kings Mountain, and was a member of Davidson Memorial Baptist Church, She and her husband spent their retirement years running the Bostic Gun Club, for over 20 years.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Smith; brothers, Ralph, A.V., and Everett Davis; sisters, Ethel Freeman and Elsie McAllister.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her son, Ronnie Franklin Smith of Shelby; sisters, Aileen Glenn, Katherine Walker and husband Paul, all of Shelby, Sarah Knight and husband Sonny of Gaffney; brothers, Dean Davis Jr. and wife Barbara, Robert Davis and wife Dot, all of Shelby, Norris Davis and wife Glennis of Chesnee ; grandson, Ronnie Jason Smith and wife Alisha of Fallston; great-grandchildren, Kari, Makayla, Hannah, Lilly, and Ayden; brother-in-law, Thomas McAllister; sister-in-law, Reba Davis, both of Shelby. A special thank you to her sisters and caregivers, Sarah Knight and Katherine Walker for their love and care, Gentiva Homecare, and nurse Allyson Greene, with Hospice of Cleveland County.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 11a.m., Monday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Sunday, 2-3:30pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home
