Marcia Chastain

KINGS MOUNTAIN- Mrs. Marcia Moore Chastain, 67, of 156 Putnam Lake Rd., died Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. A native of Cherokee Co., SC, she is the daughter of the late Cleve and Kathleen Bailey Moore. Marcia worked for Belk in Gastonia and was a member of Patterson Grove Baptist Church.


PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Putnam; two brothers, Bob and John Moore; and three sisters, Sarah Mullinax, Clara Rhea, and Shelia Tucker.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her husband Darvin Chastain of the home; 3 sons, Scott Putnam, Mark Putnam, and Todd Chastain; 3 sisters, Virginia Bumgardner, Doris Wells and husband Pete, Brenda Sellers and husband Bill; 2 brothers J.C. Moore and wife Marie of Gaffney and Rick Moore and wife Jean of Kings Mountain; one grandson, Michael Chastain, all of Kings Mountain; and a number of nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Drs. Barry Scanlan and Mark Thompson.

SERVICES: Services will be held, Sunday, January 2, 2010, 3pm, at Patterson Grove Baptist Church.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends 2 hours before the service in the Patterson Grove Baptist Church Family Life Center and other times at the home.

CLERGY: Dr. Tim Hendrick and Rev. Richard Plyler

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery
