SHELBY- Mr. Michael “Mike” Addis, 20, of 1621 Mountain Lane, died Tuesday, September 18, 2007 in Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, he was a son of Tom and Carol Neal Addis of the home. He was employed with Hunnicutt Ford in Forest City and was a member of Patterson Springs Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: He is preceded in death by grandparents, Roy and Carrie Addis and his grandfather, Gene Neal.
SURVIVORS: In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Meredith Addis of the home; a grandmother, Melba Humphries Neal of Shelby; four uncles David Neal of Shelby, Don Addis and wife, Mary Anne of Concord, Johnny Addis and wife, Kim, of Spartanburg, SC, James Harley Addis and wife, Stephanie of Monroe; many cousins, great aunts, uncles and friends.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m., Friday, September 21, 2007 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Patterson Springs Baptist Church.
LIE-IN-STATE: The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.
BURIAL: Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
