SHELBY- Mr. William H. Costner, 87, of 517 Leander St., died Sat. Jan. 14th, 2012, at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland Co., he was the son of the late Clem and Ada Devine Costner. He was a proud veteran who served in the Navy during WWII. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Brackett Costner; sister, Jewel Costner; brothers, Bob and Warren Costner.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his daughter, Stephannie Costner of Shelby; son, Bob Bridges and wife Sharline of Gastonia; sister, Virginia Costner of Charlotte; grandchildren; Andrew William Bridges, Christine Olander, and Jason Soderston, all of Gastonia. The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Potts and the nursing staff at Wendover for their Kindness and consideration during this time.
SERVICES: Monday, 2pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel
