BOILING SPRINGS- Mrs. Beth Rachel Parson, 48, of 117 Holland Drive, died Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at home. A native of Wayne County, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late William Thomas Ashdown and Joyce Ashdown of Shelby. She was a pet groomer and was recognized for her pet therapy, as she visited many different facilities with her dogs. Mrs. Parson was also a member of Crestview Baptist Church. She also served in the U.S. Army.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Dawn Ashdown.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by her husband, Phillip Parson of the home; a son, Troy Thomas Parson of the home; three daughters, Amber Ashdown Potter and husband, Robert, of Shelby, Angline Dixon and husband, Jim, of Lincoln Park, Michigan, and Stephanie Marie Parson of the home; a brother, Neil Ashdown and wife, Judy, of Shelby; four grandchildren, Austin Potter, Jace Potter, Reece Potter and Summer Bassett, all of Shelby; two nieces, Myria Ashdown and Amber Bailey, both of Shelby; and a nephew, Cole Passino.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends at Crestview Baptist Church immediately following the service and other times at the home of her mother, 3003 Poplar Circle, Shelby.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Crestview Baptist Church.
