BOILING SPRINGS- Mr. Everett Lemuel Waters, 94, of 315 W. College Ave, died Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Crawley Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Cleveland County, son of the late Phate L. and Lillian Sneed Waters. He was a long time employee of Shelby Mill and retired from J.P. Stevens. He was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and was very active in Sunday school.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Pauline Hamrick Waters, a son, Paul Eugene Waters, and three brothers and three sisters.
SURVIVORS: He is survived by two sons, Jack Waters and wife, Nora of Shelby and David Waters and wife, Lisa, of Rock Hill, SC; two daughters, Mary Gillis and husband, Dale, of Charlotte and Sue Morrison of Spartanburg, SC; a brother, Gene Waters and wife, Sue, of Statesville; three sisters, Inez Morton and Prue Fox, both of Statesville, and Faye Weaver of Dallas, NC; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 PM, Friday, February 1, 2008 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home of Jack and Nora Waters, 205 Arden Dr., Shelby.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Second Baptist Church.
LIE-IN-STATE: The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
BURIAL: Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
