SHELBY- Mrs. Frances Murphy Bailey, 67, of 1317 Moon Shadow Lane, died Saturday, March 24, 2007 at home. A native of Jasper County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Matilda Cooler Murphy of Hardeeville, SC. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, who served the Lord with all her heart. She faithfully volunteered at Harvest Time Bible Camp in Polkville, and was a homemaker. She was a member of West Rome Baptist Church for 29 years until recently relocating to Shelby, where she was currently a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cynthia Hausenfluck and one great grandchild.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by her husband, George Norwood Bailey of the home; three daughters, Marilyn Key and husband, Ted, of Starke, Fla, Donna Crotts and husband, Ray, of Shelby, and Cindy Smith, and husband, Robert, of Pooler, GA; two step-sons, Joseph Bailey and wife, Nancy, of High Point, NC, and Frank Toomer and wife, Linda, of Bluffton, SC; nineteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Murphy of Hardeeville, SC and Ronald Murphy of Butler, TN; and two sisters, Betty Scott, of Hardeeville, SC, and Marjorie Lipham of Mountain City, TN.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends Monday, March 26, 2007 from 12:30 until 2:30 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church and other times at the home.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2007 at Bethel Baptist Church.
BURIAL: Interment will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
