Helen Clary Bailes

SHELBY- Mrs. Helen Clary Bailes, 77, of 1305 Hammock Ave., Shelby, died Monday, November 6, 2006 at White Oak Manor of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Cleatus and Macie Blanton Clary. She was retired from Dover Mill and was a member of First Wesleyan Church.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Thomas Bailes; six brothers; and a daughter, Jennifer Addington.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by three sons, David Clary and wife, Trudy, of Shelby, Carl Ray Bailes and wife, Beth, of Boiling Springs, and Michael Thomas Bailes and wife, Jennifer, of Shelby; a daughter, Barbara Jane Bailes and husband, Kale Alfarkh, of Shelby; five sisters, Janie Morgan and husband, Jim, of Blacksburg, SC, Geraldine Oliver and husband, Don, of Kings Mountain, Doris Williams and husband, Thurman, Frances Luckado and husband, Bobby, and Carolyn Pruitt, all of Shelby; nine grandchildren, Chasity Clary, Shelley Upton, Kelli Carter, Jennifer Dixon, Kristi Bailes, Paul Bailes, Brandon Bailes, Stephen Bailes, and Jacob Bailes; and two great grandchildren, Acie Upton and Caiden Dixon.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at First Wesleyan Church and other times at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, David and Trudy Clary, 606 Crow Rd., Shelby.

FUNERAL: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at First Wesleyan Church

BURIAL: Cleveland Memorial Park
