Mary Frances Fitts

SHELBY- Mrs. Mary Frances Camp Fitts, 85, of 908 West Zion Church Rd., went to be with her Lord Sat., Sept 25, 2010. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Horace Cleveland and Lela Hensley Camp. Mrs. Fitts had a love for her Lord as she served as a minister’s wife for over 50 years with many churches throughout Cleveland County and the surrounding areas. She also worked for Kings Mountain City Schools as a dietician and lunch room manager. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Rev. Russell Fitts; and a sister Millie Melton.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her two loving sons, Jim Fitts and wife Kim of Gainesville, Ga, and Tom Fitts and wife Lisa of Shelby; a sister, Martha Summers of Pineville; five grandchildren, Mary Ann, Thomas, Russ, and Caroline Fitts, and Emily Griggs; two brothers-in-law, Bill Fitts and wife Faye and Pearl Fitts, all of Siler City, NC; and a sister-in-law, Frances Rhodes and husband Larry of Gastonia.

SERVICES: Funeral will be 11am, Tues., Sept 28th at Zion Baptist Church, the body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Mon., Sept 27th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home.
