R. Arlene Mace

September 23, 1934 — April 20, 2016

SPARTANBURG, S.C.-R. Arlene Mace, 81, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Windsor House. A native of Bristow, Okla., she was the daughter of the late Charley Newton and Lilly Mae King Craig. She was a member of Westview Church Baptist in Shelby and retired Branch Manager at Sharonview Federal Credit Union of Shelby.



In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Max Mace and three sisters.



She is survived by one son, Steve Mace and wife Peggy of Moore, S.C.; one daughter, Toni Martin and husband Rick of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Barbara Lewter and husband Richard, Oeinda Kremer all of California; six grandchildren, Karen Mace, Michael Mace, Kevin Martin, Cody Martin, Scott Patterson, and Lindsey Pace; five great grandchildren, Ebin Poole, Brianna Patterson, Barrett Patterson, Madelyn Pace, and Carter Pace.



The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.



A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, in the chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby, officiated by Dr. Rick Bowling.



Internment will be at Cleveland Memorial Park beside her husband.
