Ronald Glover

SHELBY: Ronald “Ronnie” Eugene Glover,65, died Wednesday, December 13,2023, at his home. He was the son of Ruth Gold and the late John Marshall Glover . He was an avid baseball player and was known for this time as a baseball coach and umpire at Shelby City Park. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his stepson, Gary Simpson. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Barbara Glover; sons, Ronald Glover Jr. and wife Chantelle and Travis Glover and fiancée Adrienne Ware; daughter, Libby Glover and fiancé Jason White; daughter-in-law, Lisa Simpson; grandchildren, Harley, Jason, Alexis, and Kimmie Simpson, BryceLynn, Kane, and Keagan Glover, and Lucas White; great-grandchildren, MaKenzie West, Nevaeh and Payton Simpson; and brothers, Donnie Jenkins and wife Pam, Kenny Glover and wife Tina, Marty Glover, and Robbie Moore and wife Lisa. A graveside service will be held at Sunset Cemetery 2:30PM, Saturday, December 16, 2023 with Dr. Chris Emory officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00PM to 2:00PM.
