Thomas Horton

GROVER: Thomas “Tommy” Cohen Horton, 80, had an appointment to meet Jesus at 8:30am, Monday morning, January 30, 2023. Born in Cleveland County to the late C.G. “Bus” and Vyra Horton on June 19, 1942. Tommy was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he served as deacon and usher. He owned and operated Jo-Tam Fabrics for 38 years. He enjoyed southern gospel, traveling to the beach and his Lord. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Horton. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Queen Horton of the home; daughter, Tammy Horton of Cramerton; son, Joseph Horton of the home; and his beloved cat, Max. Funeral services will be held 7:00pm, Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Tim Sims officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, in the sanctuary. Burial will follow at 11:00am Friday, February 3, 2023 in Cleveland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County or Bethel Baptist Church.
