Albert Lee Birdsong

KINGS MOUNTAIN: Albert Birdsong, 69, died Wednesday August 14, 2019 at Testa Family Hospice. A native of Watagua Co., he was born to the late Dallas and Hazel Hicks Birdsong. He loved reading old western novels, antiquing and yard and tag sales. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Birdsong. He is survived by his daughters Michelle Smith and husband Michael of Kings Mountain, Melissa Bolin of Kings Mountain, and Tiarra Light of Missouri; step son Steven Jones and wife Danielle of the Wilmington area; sisters Jean Gantt of Hickory, NC and Helen Faye Eller and husband Alfred of Asheboro, NC; and grandchildren Alex, Madisyn, Ethan, Calum, Kara and Wesley. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday August 17, 2019 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain with Rev. Robert Patrick Officiating.
