Aletha Fisher

December 20, 1920 — December 26, 2007

SHELBY- Ms. Aletha Sansing Fisher, 87, died Wednesday December 26, 2007 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. She was a native of Cleveland County, daughter to the late Samuel and Mary Blanton Sansing. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and assisted in the nursery for many years. She retired from Lilly Mill. Aletha’s family would like to thank the staff of Cleveland Pines for all their love and care.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Freddie Ray Fisher, three brothers; Carl Sansing, J. M. Sansing, and Samuel Sansing Jr., five sisters; Meta McSwain, Sue McSwain, Ruth Daves, Nell Daves, and Dot Justice, two step sons; Junior and Bobby Fisher.

SURVIVORS: She is Survived by her loving and devoted son, David and wife Julie, of Shelby, sister, Pantha S. Brown of Shelby, Granddaughter, Amie Fisher of Rochester, NY, and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

VISITATION: Tonight, December 28, 2007 from 6-7:30 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at the home of her son, David Fisher, 407 Stroud Road, Shelby

FUNERAL: Saturday, December 29, 2007 11:00am at Bethel Baptist Church

LIE-IN-STATE: 30 minutes prior to the service

BURIAL: will follow at Sunset Cemetery

OFFICIATING CLERGY: Dr. J.M. Ezell, and the Revs. Dan Wallace and Mike Wood
