SHELBY: Mr. Andrew Clemer Jackson, 88, of 707 Calvary St., Shelby, died
at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center.
FUNERAL: Thursday at 2 p.m. at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel
BURIAL: Mountain Rest Cemetery in Kings Mountain
VISITATION: Thursday, 90 minutes before the service at the funeral home
and other times at the home.
PERSONAL HISTORY: Born in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late John
Rufus Jackson and Mannie Josephine Jackson. He retired
from Doran Mill. He served in the U.S. Army during
WWII and was a member of Dover Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Son, David Jackson, three brothers, Paul, Hunter and
Arnold Jackson; and two sisters, Nell Jackson and Dot
Dodson.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Faye Smith Jackson of the home, Son, Dale Jackson and wife, Aimee, of Shelby, Four Grandchildren, Private First Class Matthew Jackson of Fort Richardson, Alaska, Andy Jackson of Asheville, Emily Jackson and Seth Jackson, both of Shelby.
