Anita Hullender

SHELBY: Anita Lynn Hullender, 59, died Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Atrium Health Cleveland. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late George and Dessie Ellis Hullender. Anita enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking, watching NASCAR and spending time with her family. She was a member of New Beginnings Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Hullender. She is survived by her sons, Robert Hoyle of Spindale and Travis Beatty of Bostic; daughters, Elizabeth Buff of Spindale, Crystal Hoyle and husband Richard Spindale and Emily Hoyle of Kings Mountain; sisters, Susie Hullender of Asheville, Elaine Whisnant of Shelby and Lynn Ellison and husband Richard of Shelby; brothers, Billy Davis and wife Deborah of Hendersonville and Bobby Hullender and wife Sandra of Shelby; Elijah Hoyle, Isaak Grooms and Waylon Moses; niece, Rebecca Haney and husband Chris of Spindale; nephew, Chad Hullender and wife Kathy of Casar; and great-niece and nephew, Justin and Cameron Haney. A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 3, 2023 in Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Forest City. A celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 11, 2023 at her home.
Funeral services are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral Home & Aquamation Center.
