SHELBY-Mrs. Anita Childs, 89, 101 Mario Dr., died Monday, December 13, 2010 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Augusta Trefzger. Anita was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Kings Mountain. She was the author of several books and wrote about 100 lyrics to gospel music.
SURVIVED: She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Dr. Ernest Childs, of the home.
SERVICES: Funeral services will be held, Thursday, 2pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
CLERGY: Drs. Ernest Childs and Charles Sarratt will be officiating.
BURIAL: will immediately follow in Sunset Cemetery.
MEMORIALS: Ambassador Bible College, Student Scholarship Fund, 101 Stockton St. Lattimore, NC 28089
