Ann M. Causby

February 8, 1947 — August 5, 2012

SHELBY- Mrs. Ann Moore Causby, 65, ended her journey of life on Aug. 5th, 2012 after a strong and courageous battle of cancer. She was the daughter of the late Bruce Mitchell and Maggie Hartsoe Moore of Kings Mountain. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Donald Moore Sr.; sister, Betty Moore Huss. She was employed at Monsanto in Blacksburg, Duplex International and Spectrum in Kings Mountain. She enjoyed traveling with her family, shopping, taking photos and spending time with her grandchildren, who fondly called her “Maw Maw Ann”. She was a very loving wife, mother, Maw Maw and sister that will be deeply missed.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Donald Causby Sr. of the home; son, Donny Causby of Shelby; three daughters, Lisa De La Cruz and husband Domingo of Phenix, Al, Sherry Anthony and husband Greg of Kings Mountain, Angela Elam and husband Steve of Mooresboro; four grandchildren, Anthony De La Cruz, Austin and Ashlee Anthony, Tyler Elam; sister, Frances Bynum and husband Tommy of Mt. Holly; brother Jack Moore and wife Nam of Sayreville, NJ

Her family wishes to give a sincere “heartfelt thanks” to Dr. Daniel Davis, Theresa Isaacs, Nurse Practitioner, and his nursing staff of Shelby Medical Associates; Shelby Dialysis Clinic South Branch and the staff at Hospice for their kind and loving care. We also would like to extend a special thank you to Cynthia Gould.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends to celebrate her life, Wednesday, 6-8:00pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby
