Anna Causby

SHELBY – Anna Catherine Jones Causby, 92, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at Peak Resources of Cherryville. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Laddie Chivous and Mary Jane Green Jones.

She was a lifelong member of Double Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Stanley Causby; three sisters, Bonnie Lee Jones, Etta Branton and Dot Palmer; four brothers, Ivey, Winford, J.D. and Palmer Jones.

She is survived by three daughters, Janice Hester and husband Roger of Sanford, Mary Lee McSwain and husband Richard of Shelby and Diane Edwards and husband Mike of Mooresboro; two sisters, Judy Delozier and Betty Bowen, both of Shelby; one brother, Lewis Jones of Boiling Springs; one sister-in-law, Margaret Causby of Shelby; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and special friends.

The family will receive friends one and a half hours prior to the service at Double Springs Baptist Church and other times at her daughter Mary’s home, 2615 Pebble Creek Drive, Shelby, NC 28152

A funeral will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday at the church with Rev. Bill Fryar officiating.

Interment will be in the church cemetery
