KINGS MOUNTAIN-Arlin “Art” Wilson, 77, died Thurs., Jan. 5, 2017, at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Reed and Maie Edwards Wilson. He was a member of El Bethel United Methodist Church, was the owner of Wilson TV and Music for many years, served as a field rep for Sony at Shiflet and Dixon for several years, and established Commercial Data Systems, later retiring. He had a love for fishing, and was an avid ham radio operator for 60 years. Having won many awards for overseas communication and DX contest, he was the last surviving charter member of the Shelby Radio Club.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Arline Wilson.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sandra Summitt Wilson, of the home; daughter, Beth Wilson of Gastonia; son, Todd Wilson and wife Stephanie of Kings Mountain; grandsons, Jack and Parker Wilson; and his precious baby dog, Callie.
MEMORIAL SERVICES: Memorial Services will be held 4pm, Tuesday, at El Bethel United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 2:30-4pm, in the fellowship hall of the church.
