Barbara Cash

MOORESBORO-Barbara Moore Cash, 76, died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. A native of Cherokee County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late E.D. and Rosella Fowler Moore. She was a member of Shelby Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Henderson; two brothers, James Moore and Furman Moore. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Sherman Cash, Jr.; one son, Buster Gene Cash; one daughter, JoAnn Lawson and husband Rusty all of Shelby; five sisters, Florence Humphries of Shelby, Brenda Jones and husband Ray of Shelby, Helen Strange and husband Billy of Mooresboro, Judy Emory and husband Ronnie of Shelby, Kathy Pruitt and Grady Whitner of Shelby; two brothers, Tommy Moore, Mickey Moore and wife Charlene all of Mooresboro; four grandchildren, Travis Lawson and wife LeeAnn, Kyle Cash and Haley Blanton, Brandon Hoffman, Tyler Hoffman; six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby and other times at 1150 and 1152 Popular Springs Church Road, Shelby or 5311 Spring Lane, Shelby. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Shelby Freewill Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Mike Carper. Interment will be at Cleveland Memorial Park.
