Barbara Ann Hope

KINGS MOUNTAIN- Barbara Ann Hope, 85, died Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Atrium Health Cleveland. She was the daughter of the late John and Nora Scercy. Barbara was a member of First Baptist Church of Shelby and enjoyed doing yardwork. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hope Sr. and sister, Betty Jean Kneece. She is survived by her sons, Jack Hope Jr. and wife Sheila and Tony Hope and wife Justy; daughter, Lucy Rucker and husband David; brother, J.C. Scercy and wife Betty; nine grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM, Wednesday, September 13,2023 at Clay-Barnette Kings Mountain. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00PM. Burial will follow in Mountain Rest Cemetery.
