CHERRYVILLE- Mrs. Barbara Letchford, 61, of 146 Northshore Drive, died Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Crawley Memorial Hospital.

FUNERAL: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 24, 2006 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

BURIAL: A private family burial will be held

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2006 at Clay-Barnette Funeral and other times at the home.

PERSONAL HISTORY: Born in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late Stephen and Natalie Lichon of Shelby, she enjoyed gardening and feeding the ducks & fish at home on Moss Lake. Until incapacitated last fall, Barbara was a daily participant at the Dover YMCA water aerobics classes where she had many friends and was loved by all. Barbara enjoyed reunions with her high school friends at the Jersey shore every year. She enjoyed listening to storytellers and traveled to Jonesboro, TN each year to the National Storytelling Festival there.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by her mother, Natalie Lichon Conklin of Shelby; husband, Robert Letchford of the home; son, William Graham and wife, Meghan, of Mooresville; daughter, Tara Graham of Charlotte; step daughter, Dr. Charlene Letchford; brother, Stephen Lichon and sister-in-law Loretta Lichon of Boynton Beach, FL; step grandchildren Elise, Christian, and Trevor of La Plata, MD; cherished friends, Chris and Thea Palmer of Thousand Oaks, CA, Patti Mohlmann of Wood Ridge, NJ, Linda Hept of Sayreville, NJ, Kathy Halpin of Wall, NJ, Bill and Betta Jacobs of Rahway, NJ; and Barbara Colarusso of Arlington, TX.
