Barbara Sue Carpenter

SHELBY- Mrs. Barbara Sue Laney Carpenter, 63, of 1138 Mitchell St., died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at home. A native of York County, she was the daughter of the late General Richard and Mary Anita King Laney. Mrs. Carpenter retired from Grover Industries and she was a member of new Life Outreach Church.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Thomas Christopher Putnam.
SURVIVED: She is survived by her husband of 35 years, John Carpenter, of the home, one son, Charles Steven Putnam of Shelby; two brothers Charles Richard Laney of Arkansas, and Robert Steven Laney Michigan; and a grandson, Michael Steven Putnam of Shelby.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends an hour before the service at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
SERVICES: A memorial Service will be held, Thursday, 1pm, in the Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
