Barry Bivins

KINGS MOUNTAIN, NC: Barry Bivins, 77, died Monday, August 12, 2024 at Wendover Hospice. He was the son of the late Curtis and Betty Morehead Bivins. Barry was a Vietnam veteran who served 24 years in the military, was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ and enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Renee Powell. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lois Bivins; daughter, Crystal Norman of Winston Salem; brother, Roger Bivins and wife Patsy of Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Christopher Braman (Alex), Caley Braman (Jess), Kaleb Norman, Bailey Payne, and Jonah Payne; great-grandchildren, Emma Braman and Lily Braman; and nieces, Dana Clark, Risè McKelvey, and Leanne Childers. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Friday, August 16, 2024 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home in Shelby. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
