Barry Linkous

SHELBY: Barry Grady Linkous 68, was called to Heaven Monday, December 26, 2022, at Atrium Health in Shelby. He was the son of the late Ralph and Dorothy Carter Linkous and was preceded in death by wife Patsy Hamrick Linkous; and sister Diana Linkous Bennett Oaks. He is survived by his daughter, Joann Toney and husband Chad of Columbia, SC; step-son, David Sparks and wife Donna of Cherryville; sisters, Tonia Davis and Connie Pick; brother, Ron Linkous; grandchildren, Ashley Young and husband Nate, Patrick Toney, Michelle Sparks, Matthew Sparks and wife Hanna, and Michael Sparks. A memorial service will be held 6:00PM, Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Toney officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
