Becky White

MOORESBORO: Rebecca “Becky” White, 80, died Friday, February 16, 2024 at Atrium Health Cleveland. She was the daughter of the late Furman “Jack” and Irene Hensley Grant. Becky loved working in her rose garden and she was known for her homemade cream cheese pound cakes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Crystle Elaine; brothers, Seable Grant and Bud Grant; daughter-in-law, Christy White; and son-in-law, Ken Sides. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John Paul White Sr.; son, John White and wife Heather of Mooresboro; daughters, Paula Sides of Mooresboro, Audrey Weaver and husband Cecil of Mooresboro, and Doris Melton and husband Joel of Mooresboro; grandchildren, Kristen Hughes (Brian), Josh Melton (Athena), Nikki Hartman (George), Tracy Weaver (Abby), Terry Campbell, Isaac White, Payton White and Tyson White; seven great-grandchildren; and special friend, Sue Daniels. A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM Sunday February 18, 2024 at Flint Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Dixon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family would like to thank White Oak Manor of Shelby and Atrium Health Cleveland for the excellent care that they provided. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Flint Hill Baptist Church.
