Bernice Mcdaniel

SHELBY: Bernice Davis McDaniel, 67, died Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Atrium Health Cleveland. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of Deanie Davis Jr. and the late Essie Mae Sisk Davis. Bernice enjoyed watching birds. She loved dogs and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger McDaniel; brother, Rev. Ray Davis; and sister, Wanda Kee. In addition to her father, she is survived by her daughter, Wendy McCurry and husband Chris of Shelby; step-daughter, Amy McDaniel of Shelby; brother, Keith Davis and wife Star of Shelby; grandchildren, Summer Barnes and husband Jordan of Shelby, Autumn Phillips and husband Danny of Mooresboro and Payton Glenn of Shelby; sister-in-law, Jeannie Davis; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 6, 2024 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Travis Mull officiating.
