SHELBY: Bertha Canipe Hoyle, 93, died Monday, November 8, 2021 at her home. Born in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late John Frank and Etta Bertie Helms Canipe. Bertha had a love for growing flowers, collecting baby dolls and sewing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Miller Marion Hoyle; son, Joey Hoyle; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Donald Hoyle of Shelby, Wayne Hoyle and wife Debbie of Waco and Bruce Hoyle and wife Faye of Shelby; daughters, Faye Wilson and husband Eugene, Shirley Hunt, both of Shelby, Judy Duncan and husband Ted of Marion, Gail Hoyle of Shelby and Peggy Hoyle and fiancé Bobby Lowery of Nebo; brother, Virgil Beaver and wife Selma of Shelby; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Friday, November 12, 2021 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 12:30-2:00pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
