Betsy Ridge

SHELBY- Mrs. Betsy Ridge, 86, went to be with her Lord, Thurs. Aug. 9th, 2012 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Davidson Co., she was the daughter of the late Emory and Ione Shaw Zimmerman. She was a loving pastor’s wife and a member of Davidson Memorial Baptist Church, where she enjoyed playing the organ and piano.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Toni Ridge.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Dr. Bobby Ridge of the home; son, Bobby Ridge Jr. and wife Kathy of Hickory; brother, Jackson Zimmerman of Fl.; two grandchildren, Toni South of Charlotte, Christopher Ridge and wife Nicole of Oh.; three great grandchildren, Kylie South, Caitlin and Connor Ridge; and a special friend, Rebecca Wood of Gastonia.

FUNERAL IN SHELBY: Friday, 6pm, at Davidson Memorial Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Friday, 4:30-6pm, at Davidson Memorial Baptist Church, and other times at her home.

FUNERAL IN VIRGINIA: Saturday, 2pm, at Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle Church in Buffalo Junction, VA. Her body will be place in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
