Bettie Jo Farrar died peacefully in her sleep 12/21/2023. Bettie was born March 6, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to Morris and Delma Farrar of Columbus Ohio. A true pioneer in Aging, Hospice and Community service Bettie dedicated her life to working with and supporting families both young and old. Bettie was a John’s Hopkins Fellow receiving a Masters in Education from Loyola and a Masters in Management and Aging Services from UMBC. In addition to a life dedicated to education Bettie served on numerous boards and worked with several associations providing thought leadership and advice to everyone she met. In her later life Bettie was a champion for Breast Cancer Survivors and all those struggling to overcome the stigma of Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Bettie had many dear and cherished friends that she cared for until the end. Her pride and joy were her family Grandchildren Christopher Flack Jr., Gianni Boler Davis, Malachi Isaiah Flack I, and Charlie Riche Flack. She is survived by her two sons Harley Eugene Flack II and Christopher Farrar Flack I and daughter Leah Danielle Flack.
