Betty Jean Cannon

SHELBY: Betty Jean Cannon, 87, died Thursday, July 20, 2023, at her home. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late John Erie and Nelly Mae Tessiner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald William Cannon; sons, Donny and Rusty Spurlin; and brothers, James and Miles Tessiner. She is survived by her sons, Steve Spurlin and wife Trudy and Scott Spurlin and wife Angel; daughters, Sue Garrett and Robin Thomas and husband Bo; half-sister, Anise; half-brother, Kenny Tessiner; and grandchildren, Jamie, Andy, Doug, Kathy, Robert, Stephanie, and Dawn. Services are private to the family.
