Betty Christopher

GROVER-Betty Woods Christopher, 89, died Friday, Feb. 12, 2016 at Brookdale Senior Living in Spartanburg, SC. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Robert James and Pearl Wright Woods. She worked as an executive secretary at Lily Mill, until its closing, later working and retiring as a real estate agent in Cleveland County. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church, and loved her Lord and family.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Sam Christopher; and seven brothers and sisters.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her two daughters, Cathy Arnold and husband Ernest of Spartanburg, and Carmen Coles and husband Georg of Grover; sister, Pearl Backus and husband Neil of Winter Springs, Fl.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Saturday, at Bethel Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends following the service, at the church

BURIAL: A private burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park

CLERGY: Dr. Tim Sims will officiate
