Betty Ellis

SHELBY: Betty Weathers Ellis, 80, went to be with the Lord Friday, November 1, 2024 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Lucille Allen Weathers. She was a faithful and devoted wife and mother. Betty was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her brother, Don Weathers. She is survived by her husband, David Ellis of the home; son, Chris Ellis and wife Connie; her twin brother, Bobby Weathers; sisters, Shelby Robertson, Pat Ellis and Kathy Barclift; grandchildren, Lauren Wallen, Rebecca Monsrud and Jessica Richardson; and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 5, 2024 in Sunset Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Tim Sims officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
