Betty Howland

SHELBY – Ms. Betty Weathers Howland, 81, of 1404 N. Lafayette St., died Tue., Mar. 12, 2013 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Helen Jones Weathers. She was a homemaker, and a member of Ross Grove Baptist Church.

PRECEDED – In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Larry Howland.

SURVIVED – She is survived by her loving daughter, Brenda Cook and husband James, of Caser; brother; Donald Weathers and wife Margaret, of Shelby; three grandchildren, Shelley Henderson and husband Jonathan of Raleigh, Wade Cook of Casar, Nathan Cook and wife Beth, all of Lawndale; three great-grandchildren, Deaton Cook, Henry and Thomas Henderson; and nephew, Jeff Weathers and wife Julie of Lawndale.
