Betty Sue Lanning

August 11, 1938 — April 28, 2023

SHELBY: Betty Sue Deaton Lanning, 84, died Friday, April 28, 2023 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. Born in GA, she was the daughter to the late Harrison and Essie Cain Deaton. Betty was a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church and retired as a Nurse with Cleveland Regional Medical Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lanning. She is survived by many extended family members. A family burial will be held in Sandy Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.
Funeral services are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral Home & Aquamation Center.
