BETTY POWELL
MOORESBORO-Betty S. Powell, 69, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at her home. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of the late Bub and Hazel Campbell Foster. She had a love for caring for the elderly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Foster; and sister, Mary Warren.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Marvin Powell, of the home; son, Dwayne Powell and wife Shannon of Shelby; sisters, Dorothy Smart and Wanda Owens, both of Cliffside, and Barbara Stafford of Forest City; brothers, Ronald Foster of Cliffside and Tommy Foster and wife Sherry of Forest City; grandchildren, Adam and Isaac Powell, and Roni Miskell and husband Chris; and great-grandchildren, Luna and Saya Miskell.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Tom Runyans.
Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
