Betty Stubbs

November 1, 1929 — February 8, 2018

SHELBY: Betty Allen Stubbs, 88, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late James and Odessa McGinnis Riddle. She was a member of Zoar Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Ray Allen; sisters, Willie Herndon, Sara Carr, and Iris Emery.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her daughter, Debi DuBard of Murrells Inlet, SC; son, Steve Allen and wife Linda of Shelby; grandchildren, Kim Allen Messer and husband Doug of Blacksburg, and Casey Allen of Shelby; nieces, Benita Runyans, Cassie Tarpley, and Martha Herndon, all of Shelby; and special family friend and caregiver, Dana Wink of Shelby.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends 6-7:30pm, Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home

GRAVESIDE SERVICES: Graveside services will be held 2pm, Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at Cleveland Memorial Park

OFFICIATING: Rev. Richard Stroup will officiate

MEMORIALS: Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150

FUNERAL HOME: Arrangements are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby
