BOILING SPRINGS-Betty Lou Thomas, 73, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at her home. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Batie Turner Cook. She was a member of Springmore Baptist Church, and work many years at Lowes Home Improvement.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Thomas; sister, Mildred Cabaniss; and brothers, Roy, Clyde, and Claude Cook.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her daughter, Karen Smith of Charlotte; son, Mark Thomas and wife Sherry of Shelby; sister, Mary Lovelace and husband Isaac of Shelby; grandchildren, Tiffany and Donnie Jackson, both of Charlotte, and Paige Thomas of Shelby; great-grandchild, Grayson Thomas.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Monday, 6-7:30pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Tuesday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

OFFICIATING: Rev. Chad Jones will officiate

BURIAL: Will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park

MEMORIALS: Springmore Baptist Church, PO Box 1355, Boiling Spring, NC 28017
