Billy Miller

Shelby- Billy "Butch" Eugene Miller, 71, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Wendover Hospice of Shelby.
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Billy and Gloria Cox Miller.
Billy was a loving husband, father, family man and friend. He was a Godly man who loved the Lord.
He had a hobby and a love for old cars and trucks, most of all Fords. He enjoyed drag and dirt track racing.
He served in the U.S. Army National Guard for 6 years. He worked for Duke Energy for 32 years.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Miller and father in law, Virgil Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jill Church Miller of the home; sons, Josh and Luke Miller; sister, Nikki Miller; brother in laws, Ronnie Church and Franklin "Burr" Keathley; mother in law, Delores Church; special nieces, Matti and Abbi Church; special nephews Dale Fitch and Aaron Dean; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held 3PM, Sunday July 28, 2024, at Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Sims officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Church. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
