Bonnie Horne

January 5, 1927 — May 3, 2010

KINGS MOUNTAIN- Mrs. Bonnie Sue Horne, 83, formerly of N. Piedmont Ave., died Monday, May 3, 2010 at Carolina Specialty Hospital, Charlotte. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Foley Pinkney and Ruth June Bennett Cobb. Mrs. Horne was a former hostess at McDonalds and a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church.


PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Ray Horne; two brothers James and Foley Cobb; and sister Dorothy Cobb Tignor.


SURVIVED: She is survived by two step sons, Bobby Horne and Kenny Horne, both of Kings Mountain; sister Betty Metz and husband Robert of Hilton Head, SC; brother Donald Keith Cobb and wife Claudean of Kings Mountain; and one step granddaughter.


VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Wednesday, May 5, 2010, from 2-3pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.

SERVICES: Services will be held, Wednesday, May 5, 2010, 3pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, Kings Mountain.

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Mountain Rest Cemetery.

MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to the Mission Endowment Fund at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 600 Crescent Circle, Kings Mountain, 28086.

CLERGY: The Rev. Hobby Outten will be officiating.

FUNERAL HOME: Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.
