Brock Smith

LAWNDALE: Brock Stephen Smith, 32, died Friday, May 26, 2023 at Atrium Health Main in Charlotte. A native of Cleveland County, he is the son of Stephen Smith and wife Annette of Shelby and Pam Sarratt and husband Jacob Hoyle of Casar. Brock had a love for anything that involved being outside. He enjoyed grilling and building different things. His greatest love was his family. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Perry Sarratt. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Ciara Grayson Smith of the home; son, Andrew Smith; daughters, Braylan Smith and Chloe Smith, all of the home; sister, Baylee Smith of PA; brothers, Brandon Smith and wife Jordan of Shelby, Blake Smith of Polkville and Bradley Smith of Shelby; step-sisters, Emily Fordyce and husband Josh and Kelly Greene, both of Shelby; and grandparents, Kathryn Sarratt, Steve and Helen Smith, Mary Grayson and Kenny Helms. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM-7:30 PM, Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Leukemia Foundation www.leukemiafoundation.org
