Bruce Lail

SHELBY: Bruce Lail, 65, died Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, he is the son of Peggy Rogers Lail of Shelby and the late Willie Lail. Bruce served in the Navy for eight years and retired from Curtis-Wright Controls. He was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed helping and visiting with others. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Debra Carswell and husband Jim of Grover; nephew, Adam Charpentier and wife Daryl; niece, Amanda Nicholson and husband Jesse; great nephews, Jess, Max, Sam, Juno, Bodie and Sylvester; and his K-9 companion, Laila. A graveside service will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in Flint Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Dixon officiating.
