Butch Connor

SHELBY: Boyce “Butch” Eugene Connor, 76, died Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Willow Ridge Nursing Center in Rutherfordton. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Charles Boyce and Oleen White Connor. He was a member of New Bethel Church of Shelby where he enjoyed singing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Dean Connor and Charles Vestal Connor; and sisters, Nora May Connor and Doris Warlick. He is survived by his brother, Gary Wayne Connor and wife Phyllis of Shelby; nephew, Donald Wayne Connor and wife Sherri of Polkville; grandnephew, Isaac Connor of Polkville; and grandniece, Katlyn Dale Beam and husband Josh of Fallston. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM, Friday, May 6, 2022 at New Bethel Church of Shelby, with the Rev. Mark Patchett officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:30PM, Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
